Yancey County GIS Mapping Help
Map navigation using the Toolbar:
 | Click the Map to draw a box. The map will resize to fit the box. The smaller the rectangle the more you will zoom in. |
 | Click the Map to draw a box. The map will resize in accordance to the size of the zoom rectangle. The smaller the rectangle the more you zoom out. |
 | Click the and drag the mouse in the opposite direction that you want to go. |
 | Click on this image and the map will zoom to the extent of Yancey County. |
 | Zooms to your previous extent |
 | Zooms to next extent |
 | Identify a feature on the map. |
 | Interactively select parcel. This will bring up a tool bar in the side panel. You have the choice of selecting the parcel using a point line or a polygon. Click on 'View Parcel attributes' to view it in the Search Results Panel |
 | Clicking this button clears all of the selections from the map. |
 | Clicking this button creates a printable map page with the current map extent. |
Printing a map
There are two methods of printing the map.
- Use the print icon on the toolbar
- Click on the print map link on the detail callout
Printing from the toolbar 
. This print option will print the Yancey County Maps at the current extent of the map. It will not print any graphics or reports.
If you want to get the information from a parcel you need to first locate the parcel either with one of the search functions or by just panning and zooming to the location. Then you need to use the Identify button 
or click on the Details link in the search results. Then click the Print Map link at the buttom of the callout.
